1 Kings 18:41 And Elijah said to Ahab, Go up to eat and drink, for there is the sound of abundance of rain.
Isaiah 45:8 Shower down righteousness, O heavens above. Let the clouds drip with deliverance! Let earth’s wound open up and bear salvation fruit with righteousness rising up beside it! I, Yahweh, have created all of them.
I have had several dreams that I felt lead by God to release over the African-American and African churches. The first dream, I felt was about the African-American church and the next generation of believers. I saw an older African-American woman singing, but she was looking down at the ground instead of at the audience. Behind her were three back-up singers, who were younger, dancing and singing. One young African-American woman (back-up singer closest to the older woman) stepped forward singing boldly with her head held high and smiling. I then realized this stage was the American Idol stage. I looked out at the audience and saw the judges and the audience were standing and clapping for this young woman.
I felt this is a picture of the next generation of African-American believers, rising up with a new song over our nation with confidence and no shame.
O sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have wrought salvation for Him.
The Lord has made known His salvation; His righteousness has He openly shown in the sight of the nations. Psalms 98:1-2
This new song will bring unity and healing. It’s time to rise my African-American brothers and sister and sing a new song of revival! Unity is on the heart of God for all believers.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! Psalm 133:1
The second dream, I felt was over African churches. I saw what I believe was a talk show. I saw that the talk show host was sitting behind a desk, and to her right were 3-4 guest. All of these African women were dressed in native attire that was trimmed in gold. I knew that their dress was that of royalty. Suddenly, two of the guest bowed their heads forward in honor of the Lord, with their hand raised up to heaven. I knew in my spirit that the Spirit of the Lord had fallen upon them. They said, “Thank you Lord”. I felt that the Lord was showing me, that the reverent awe and worshipful fear of the Lord, would fall upon the African churches for the world to see. Bowing also represents humility.
I hear the sound of the abundance of rain. Rain is a symbol of revival and resurrection. Revival is coming! The Lord is moving across the nations of the world. God is moving on His church, His people of all nationalities. He is calling the Body of Christ back to “first love”—Jesus!
Serve and worship the awe-inspiring God.
Recognize his greatness and bow before him,
trembling with reverence in his presence.
Fall facedown before him and kiss the Son
before his anger is roused against you.
Remember that his wrath can be quickly kindled!
But many blessings are waiting for all
who turn aside to hide themselves in him! Psalm 2:11-12
Instead of your [former] shame you shall have a twofold recompense; instead of dishonor and reproach [your people] shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double [what they had forfeited]; everlasting joy shall be theirs. Isaiah 61:7
